In Bloom
linocut reduction, 15 x 18 in This piece is inspired by a photograph I took of blooming hydrangeas… always thinking about depictions of growth. I challenged myself to execute this print using a technique that I have limited experience with. Throughout the process, I explored how ink layers interact and build upon one another while experimenting with color theory. Registration was a challenge in and of itself. Lots of learning (or should I say growth) with this print!
